The SolarMount Capacity Initiative is a strategic project aimed at developing a feasibility study for establishing a manufacturing plant dedicated to aluminum mounting systems for photovoltaics. With increasing demand for such systems, the project seeks to reduce reliance on imports by fostering local production, improving supply chain efficiency, and supporting the expansion of the renewable energy sector.
The project is promoted by PUBLIC CREATION SRL in partnership with SYNESIS PARTNERS SRL and NOVELTEX OSLO AS. Noveltex plays a key role in developing the operational and technical feasibility of the manufacturing plant in collaboration with the project partners, ensuring a sustainable and efficient production process.
The SolarMount Capacity Initiative is implemented with financial support from EEA/Norway Grants, under contract number 2024/392456. This initiative represents a significant step toward strengthening the photovoltaic infrastructure, promoting sustainability, and fostering cooperation for innovation in renewable energy solutions.
The R & D project is promoted by the Romanian start-up Stratocumulus SRL. The cooperation project involves two partners, Noveltex Olso AS from Norway and Norma Industries Srl from Romania. While Stratocumulus develops the software and cloud solution, Norma takes care of the construction of the physical prototype and Noveltex provides support for choosing materials and suppliers to improve the environmental perfomance of the product.
The smart irrigation system aims to mitigate the effects of climate change that threaten the agricultural areas around the world where large crops are grown.
The project is implemented through EEA/ Norway Grants start-up support program in Romania, contract number 2022/347138 from 18.01.2023.
